The CONY Sailfish are a competitive swim team for swimmers aged 5-18 of varying ability.  Swimmers are broken down into 3 different practice groups and practice from October through March with 5-10 meets offered to compete in on weekends.  The Sailfish compete in both USA and YMCA meets and are part of the NHSA league in New Hampshire.  All new swimmers must schedule an evaluation with Head Coach Katie Chevalier ([email protected]) for a practice group assignment.  Season deposit covers the cost of t-shirt, swim cap, and end-of-year banquet.

Knowledge of the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke; ability to swim 50 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke and 25 yards of butterfly.

Knowledge of the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke; ability to swim 100 yards of freestyle and backstroke and 50 yards of butterfly and breaststroke.  Swimmers must choose a minimum of 2 days to practice.

This group will continue to work on stroke technique and building endurance for greater success in swimming longer distances.  Swimmers must be able to swim a 90-minute practice.  Must have coaches' approval prior to registration.  Swimmers must choose a minimum of 3 days to practice.

Tuesday, Thursday: 5:45pm - 7:15pm
