Event: Saturday Chess Rapid Quads
Details: We form groups of four players nearest in strength. Each person plays the other three in a quick, 3-round mini tournament.
Time Control: 15 minutes per side with a 10 second increment.

Schedule:
9:00am - Check-in, setup and puzzle discussion
9:30am - Check-in ends and quad groups are finalized
10:00am - Round 1
11:00am - Latest start time for Round 2
12:00pm - Latest start time for Round 3

Rounds 2 and 3 may begin when both games in a quad group are over, allowing at least 10 minutes rest for all four players in the quad group.

Players must check in before 9:30am to ensure they are assigned a quad group.

Entry Fee:
$10 for non-members of the YMCA. No additional cost for existing members of the YMCA.

Prizes:
Each quad champion wins a $20 prepaid debit card. *USCF membership required to be eligible for prize. Unrated sections may be formed for non-members of USCF.

Tie-Breaks:
Sonneborn-Berger method applied in the case of a tie score.

What to Bring:
Bring board and clocks, though some spare equipment is available to borrow. Snacks available at vending machines, or bring your own.

Parking & Accessibility:
Metered on-street parking available, but limited. Parking garage is one block away at 2-98 Plaza Dr in Manchester. Elevator from street level is available. Ring buzzer for assistance. Chess event is on the second floor, in Studio A and C.
