A FREE, after school enrichment program being offered to Gilbert H Hood Middle School students. The program runs from 2 to 5:30 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Students are expected to attend 3 days a week throughout the program session. Students in the program can also attend any clubs or sports offered at the school. Afternoons will start with a provided snack and 20 minutes of homework assistance, catching up on schoolwork, reading or math practice. Students will then choose between 2-3 activities such as games, arts, sports, crafts, STEM, e-sports, and cooking. This FUN program will increase the academic support and healthy socialization of students through these activities as well as life skills and opportunities to increase community awareness. The program aims to keep students safe, provide engaging activities, positive social interactions, and homework assistance with a long-term gold on increased engagement in their community. This program does not run on days that there is no school or early release days. Please see attached policies regarding this program. We would like to thank the Marion Gerrish Community Center in Derry, NH for partnering with us to make this program possible.
