For children aged 3-6 with little to some experience in the water but not yet able to swim or float without assistance. Instructors assist children in the pool while they develop comfort with underwater exploration and basic safety skills as well as basic swimming skills like body positions, breath control, and basic movement through the water using the swim-float-swim skillset when they are ready.
Aquatics Department Program Policies:
Make Ups: Unfortunately, due to the volume of participants in our programs, classes missed for any reason other than a YMCA cancellation may not be made up at another time. Make ups may be offered only when the YMCA is forced to cancel a class due to weather or other circumstances. A system credit may be issued when it is not possible to offer a make up date.
Cancellations: Refunds may be requested for any reason and will be issued in full if requested prior to 7 days before the first class. After this point refunds will only be considered for medical reasons when supported by a doctor's note. Refunds cannot be given for scheduling conflicts or other reasons.
Transfers: If for any reason you need to permanently transfer to another class during the session, you may do so by visiting the welcome center if requested prior to 7 days before the first class. After this, please contact a program director and we will be happy to help accomodate you if possible!
